It’s been a little while, but since I had a credit (woo! thank you to whoever clicked on the link!) I went ahead and ordered another Fix. I have to say that this was the best box I have received thus far and it was challenging for me not to buy everything in it.
Here’s what I got…
The note was so sweet and so personal. She even mentioned my upcoming trip to LA! Here’s what Tara wrote:
Hi Jane!…I picked some stylish pieces that are ready for our gorgeous Southern California Spring! Maxi dresses are what we wear year long, so this one I’ve sent is in a cute fun print, and you can layer the navy open cardigan on top. The Daniel Rainn green split back top is my favorite!! This is perfect for LA worn with the ultimate SoCal staple, the distressed boyfriend jean. You can dress the top up for nights out in Hollywood by just adding heels! (careful of Hollywood Blvd at night!!!) The 19 Cooper tank os perfect with the jeans and open cardigan as well and a great layer. Wear it with white jeans too! Enjoy your Fix and your vacay! XO Tara
I mean… so adorable. It made me feel like they really pay attention to the notes I send!
So, I pretty much liked everything. I know that the stylist really considered what I wanted. I asked for high quality items that I can wear often and with different pieces. I asked for clothes that travel well and can go from day to night easily. They definitely delivered! I tried everything on and, for the first time, everything fit!
I tried on the dress first, thinking I wouldn’t like the way the fabric sat on me. Turns out, I loved it!
Decision on the maxi dress: YES.
Then I tried on the blouses.
Prices: $68.00 & $58.00
Decision on both blouses: NO and NO.
I threw on the cardigan with a couple pieces to see if it was not only soft, but also stylish.
Decision on the cardigan: NO
Last, butt (yes, pun intended) not least was the pair of distressed jeans.
Decision on the jeans: NO
So, I ended up with an awesome dress that I hope to wear pretty much every day because it is the most comfortable thing I currently own. I wasn’t 100% sold on Stitchfix after my last experience, but I’m back to being a believer. I still believe the prices can be a bit high, but sticking to purchasing one item each time has kept my wallet happy.
I highly recommend giving Stitchfix a try! It is worth the short wait to schedule a fix (probably about 3 weeks out at any given time) and it’s worth spending a more money than you normally would on an item or two.
